What is JC08?
Japanese JC08 Mode (JC08) is a laboratory driving-cycle / range-label used primarily in Japan (legacy). ExploreCalcTools documents JC08 so buyers can compare estimated EV range figures across standards such as WLTP, EPA, NEDC and CLTC.
JC08 does not measure the same mix of speed, temperature, HVAC load, or stop-and-go behaviour as every other cycle. A car rated JC08 500 km will often show a different number under EPA or CLTC — our converters apply empirical estimate factors only.
