What is WLTC?

Worldwide Harmonised Light vehicles Test Cycle (WLTC) is a laboratory driving-cycle / range-label used primarily in Europe / Global. ExploreCalcTools documents WLTC so buyers can compare estimated EV range figures across standards such as WLTP, EPA, NEDC and CLTC.

WLTC does not measure the same mix of speed, temperature, HVAC load, or stop-and-go behaviour as every other cycle. A car rated WLTC 500 km will often show a different number under EPA or CLTC — our converters apply empirical estimate factors only.

Manufacturers still publish ratings under this label in many markets; treat brochure figures as lab conditions, not guaranteed road range.
